Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Ohio is seeking a Home and Community Based Services Aide to provide personal care and support for individuals to remain in their own homes, including assistance with daily living activities in hospice care. This full-time role covers Summit, Stark and Cuyahoga counties.

Qualified candidates will have an STNA certificate (or Medicare-certified HHA), a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation; CPR is preferred and flexibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
• OH: No Additional Requirements.
• OH: Must have STNA training and competency, or Medicare Certified Home Health Aide.
• One year supervised home health or nurse aide experience, or COALA training accepted.
• CPR certification preferred or can be completed within 90 days.
• 6+ months of home care experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders.
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and EVV usage.
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.

As the Home and Community Bases Services Aide, you will provide support, assistance with personal hygiene and household functions for an individual to be able to remain in their own home.

• This is a Full Time position doing Home Visits for Hospice Care.

• STNA certification in OH required.

• Our Business Hours are Mon-Fri, 8AM-4:30PM.

• Our agency covers Summit, Stark, and Cuyahoga counties. Candidates must be able to see patients within this area.

Primary Responsibilities:

State-Specific Requirements:

Category I and II- Home Health Aide- Medicare Certified Home Health Provider

• OH: No Additional Requirements.

Category III and IV:

• OH: Must have successfully completed an approved Ohio Department of Health State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) training program and competency, OR meet the qualifications to be Medicare Certified Home Health Aide, OR have at least one (1) year supervised employment experience as a Home Health Aide or Nurse Aide and has successfully completed a competency evaluation, OR has successfully completed a Council on Aging Learning Advantages (COALA) Home Health training program, a certified vocational or other sixty (60) hour training and competency evaluation program that meets the requirements listed in rule 173-39- 02.11(C)(3)(a)(v)(b).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of home care experience
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
