Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Spiritual Counselor to coordinate and deliver the spiritual services program for patients and families. You will provide spiritual care daily and liaise with hospital chaplaincy and community clergy, requiring reliable transportation and a compassionate presence.

You will oversee bereavement initiatives, conduct educational sessions, and build a diverse clergy network to support spiritual care needs across terminal illness and loss contexts.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum one year hospice experience or related experience
• Basic Life Support - CPR
• Driver's License: CA
• Auto Insurance
• Able to work with all faith traditions
• Ability to operate a computer

Aufgaben

• Provides direct spiritual support to patients/families per beliefs
• Performs liturgical assignments and arranges funeral or memorial services as needed
• Coordinates care with hospice interdisciplinary group and works with staff, clergy and community groups
• Oversees and evaluates bereavement program ensuring compliance with regulations
• Provides bereavement follow-up and educational support groups as needed
• Develops and maintains a clergy resource group for delegated spiritual care tasks
