Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking a Per Diem Spiritual Services professional to provide pastoral care and counseling to patients and families in a hospice setting. Required: Master of Divinity or related degree, 4 CPE units, and strong communication skills. Per diem daytime shift with opportunities to lead memorial services and educate staff and clergy.

Qualifications

• Master of Divinity or equivalent required.
• Four CPE units (two basic, two advanced) or equivalent training.
• Comprehensive hospice counseling knowledge.
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and customer service in hospice.

Responsibilities

• Provides pastoral care and counseling to patients and families.
• Develops psycho-spiritual treatment plans with patient, family and team.
• Coordinates memorial services and liaises with area clergy.
• Delivers educational programs for clergy, providers and staff.
• Participates in on-call coverage and QA activities.
