Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care at a competent level and to interact with the health care team to achieve desired results.

Required licensure in SC or a compact state, BLS, and an Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred). This on-site position offers 40 scheduled hours per week and includes a $18,000 sign-on bonus for new hires with experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Training and Education: Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients using the nursing process.
• Interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.
• Demonstrates safe and effective care delivery.
