We have an exciting and rewarding opening for a RN Administrator to join our team! Join us and find new ways to use your gift for leading others while making a meaningful impact in the lives of those in the care of your and your team.

As an Administrator, you will report directly to our Assistant Vice President of Operations. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned hospice location. You will oversee the coordination of admission of patients to Hospice Services in a smooth, systematic process, as well as arranging for ancillary services so that they are complimentary. Additionally, you will oversee the direction, supervision and evaluation of hospice personnel and volunteers and the coordination of services of all team members of the multi-teamed site and is responsible for ongoing communication with leadership.

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrates a commitment to excellence through focusing on quality care and/or service.
2. Incorporates continuous quality improvement principles in day-to-day activities.
3. Promotes and monitors compliance with requirements and standards established by accrediting or licensing agencies, regulatory agencies and state or federal law relevant to areas of responsibility.
4. Recommends and implements policies and procedures.
5. Manages Human Resources effectively.
6. Promotes positive communications and keeps employees informed of changes by ensuring meetings with appropriate staff are conducted and documented.
7. Promotes/provides for core orientation, at the direction of the Administrator, plus location and job specific orientation, in service training and continuing education for employees, volunteers and contract personnel.
8. Responsible for the selection, supervision, and evaluation of interdisciplinary team members.
9. Manages teams to goals and standards for performance; reviews and monitors progress regularly and redirects efforts where goals are not being met.
10. Makes appropriate assignments among employees in accordance with their personal abilities and limitations; ensures fair and consistent workload distribution.
11. Manages Office Operations effectively.
12. Plans and organizes tasks and resources to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
13. Ensures documentation of services is accurate and timely.
14. Monitors and supervises quality of patients' care of assigned location(s). Processes emergency calls and requests for assistance.
15. May be asked to perform routine visits to patient homes or institutional settings and/or participate in on-call schedule (only if a Registered Nurse).
16. Works with physicians, patients, families, staff and others regarding problems, needs and concerns.
17. Responsible for supervision and evaluation of family satisfaction surveys in collaboration with the Administrator.
18. Manages financial resources prudently and effectively.
19. Completes financial reviews in collaboration with the Administrator.
20. Ensure annual expenditures are within annual budget. Prepares, monitors, and reviews monthly bills, supply costs, expense requests, mileage reimbursement, payroll and other expenses.

About You:

1. Education:
   1. Registered Nurse with minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
   2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
   3. Master's degree in business, nursing or related field preferred.
2. Experience:
   1. Minimum one year management/supervisory experience required.
   2. Two or more years' experience in hospice/home care required.
   3. Three years' experience in direct patient care in a clinical setting preferred.
   4. Three to five years healthcare sales/management experience preferred.
   5. Two or more years' experience in home care or hospice required (if also functioning as the Clinical Nursing Supervisor for the office location). Experience could also be as Clinical Director, Hospice Director, Director of Nursing (DON), RN Administrator, Executive Director.
3. Licenses, Certifications and/or Registration:
   1. Current license to practice nursing in the state of requested employment, if applicable.
   2. CPR Certification.
   3. Current automobile insurance and valid driver's license.

Equipment/Tools/Work-Aids: Must be able to effectively operate computer, facsimile equipment, copier and cell phone. Must have and maintain transportation to be used for work.

We Offer: Compensation may vary within the salary range provided based on several factors including but not limited to a candidate's location, experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications and department equity. Gentiva provides associates with a comprehensive benefits and total rewards package, of which base pay is just one piece.

Salary Range: $175,000 - $185,000
