Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for Hospice in Michigan. The role involves direct patient care during daytime shifts in a per diem capacity, with supervision of nursing personnel for the patient group.

Responsibilities include performing nursing procedures, data collection, care planning, and educating patients and families throughout admission to discharge. Licensures and certifications are required, with a preference for BSN.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required for Michigan.
• BCLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required for certain units.
• Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
• One year experience in department clinical specialty.
• Current Michigan driver's license and proof of valid automobile insurance with a clear MVR.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care procedures including administration of medication; organizes patient care effectively.
• Performs assessment data collection focusing on age, physiologic and cognitive status; reviews data collected by caregivers.
• Develops a plan of care with nursing actions to achieve patient goals and addresses patient/family learning needs.
