Job summary

Riverside Health System is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee agency operations in Newport News, VA. The role includes staffing oversight, policy implementation, and ensuring high-quality patient care across the agency 24/7.

Required RN licensure with nursing experience; supervisory experience preferred. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

• RN background with current Virginia license.
• Experience supervising nursing staff is preferred.
• Ability to lead and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates quality patient care through staffing levels and resources.
• Supervises and delegates staff to ensure optimum patient care.
• Oversees daily operations in the absence of DON/agency manager.
• Maintains safe patient care environment per policies and regulations.
• Identifies variances and provides timely resolutions.
• Investigates nursing errors and counsels staff as needed.
• Documents incidents accurately per guidelines.
• Develops staff through policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Communicates staffing changes and patient care updates to physician and team.
• Manages overtime and budgets within staffing allocations.
