Job summary

Serenity Hospice Care is seeking an experienced Assistant Team Lead RN to support the clinical leadership team and mentor hospice nursing staff in Burlington County. The role blends direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, guiding RN Case Managers and clinical staff while ensuring compliance with hospice regulations and care plans.

The ideal candidate holds an NJ RN license, an ADN (BSN preferred), 2–3 years of nursing experience, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• RN license in New Jersey (unrestricted).
• 2-3 years of professional nursing experience.
• Hospice/home health/palliative care experience preferred.
• Leadership/charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong assessment, communication, and time-management skills.
• Full Time 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assist Team Lead with daily clinical operations and coordination of the hospice nursing team.
• Mentor and support RN Case Managers and clinical staff.
• Coordinate patient visits based on needs, staffing, and geographic coverage.
• Monitor care quality and compliance with the hospice plan of care.
• Support clinicians with patient questions, symptom management, and changes in condition.
• Participate in patient care and nursing visits as needed.
• Review clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure timely completion of assessments, recertifications, and care plans.
