Job summary

Compassus in Reston, VA is seeking a Hospice RN Clinical Coordinator to provide administrative and clinical leadership, oversee care coordination, and support the Director of Clinical Services. You will manage admissions, on-call coverage, staff mentoring, documentation, and quality initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and patient-family support.

Active RN license and hospice experience required; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered registered nurse license.
• One year of hospice experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret general business communications.

Responsibilities

• Promotes positive working relationships among team members, leaders, and external partners.
• Manages admissions, recertifications, and physician orders to support patient care plans.
• Provides after-hours coverage and on-call support as needed.
• Supports DCS with Interdisciplinary Team meetings and documentation.
• Mentors new staff and oversees onboarding and staff development.
