Qualifications

Overview

We have an exciting and rewarding opening for a RN Administrator to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA! Join us and find new ways to use your gift for leading others while making a meaningful impact in the lives of those in your care.

To qualify for this position, you must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of hospice or home health management experience.

Leadership and Responsibilities

As an Administrator, you will report directly to our Assistant Vice President of Operations. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned hospice location, overseeing patient admissions, ancillary services, and supervising hospice personnel and volunteers. You will ensure effective communication with leadership and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  1. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence through quality care and service.
  2. Incorporate continuous quality improvement principles in daily activities.
  3. Ensure compliance with accreditation, licensing, and legal requirements.
  4. Develop and implement policies and procedures.
  5. Manage Human Resources effectively, including staff supervision, training, and evaluations.
  6. Promote positive communication and ensure staff are informed and supported.
  7. Manage office operations, including documentation, quality of care, and emergency response.
  8. Manage financial resources, including budgeting, billing, and expense monitoring.
About You
  • Education: RN with minimum Associate’s Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred; Master’s in related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in hospice/home care management; 3+ years in clinical care preferred; healthcare management experience advantageous.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid RN license, CPR certification, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
  • Skills: Proficient in computer use, communication, and transportation for work.
Additional Titles

Potential titles include RN Branch Director, Hospice Director, Director of Nursing, or similar leadership roles.
