Job summary

VNA of the Treasure Coast in Florida seeks a Health Care Sales Liaison to build and maintain relationships with physician offices, community health organizations and referral sources. You will educate providers about VNA services, promote hospice benefits, and identify opportunities that lead to patient referrals.

You will report to the Sales Director with some supervision and demonstrate VNA core values in all duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years health care related sales experience.
• Prior hospice experience is a plus.
• Professional licensure as a health care provider required.

Responsibilities

• Leads initiatives and acts as a business partner to build volume and favorable provider preferences among referral sources.
• Works collaboratively with VNA service line leaders.
• Develops and implements specific outreach, relationship building, and marketing plans.
• Maintains strong business relationships with local community organizations.
• Establishes ongoing communications with referring providers and their office staff.
• Builds awareness and trust with referral sources to secure hospice referrals.
• Identifies referral sources for VNA hospice and cross-sell opportunities.
• Develops relationships with managers, nursing leaders, and opinion leaders at VNA and with referral sources.
• Interprets data to determine priority areas for growing referrals.
• Protects and grows market share and monitors market trends.
• Provides insights to Leadership on emerging opportunities.
• Advocates for more convenient referral processes.
• Maintains current knowledge of trends and opportunities in the market.
• Explains services to physician offices and answers questions regarding patient care.
• May be assigned a specific territory or physician group as needed.
• Participates in community education programs as needed.
• Educates new agencies and facilities with patients in need of VNA services.
• Provides community education on hospice benefits and Medicare regulations.
• Will serve as back-up for hospice liaisons in local hospitals and facilities as needed.
• Represents VNA professionally to community institutions and agencies.
