Overview

The Patient Care Assistant II (PCA II) is a certified individual who performs direct care in the home health setting. The PCA II maintains current certification in patient care and assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care, and helps maintain a safe environment under the supervision of the RN.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Current certification in Patient Care (e.g., M.A., CNA, EMT, Paramedic, Patient Care Tech).
3. Current BLS certification, maintained upon hire.
4. Phlebotomy certification, preferred.
5. Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
6. Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office, preferred.

Pay Transparency
