Job summary

UPMC Altoona Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship seeks an ABFM or AOBFP certified physician with board eligibility or board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine to join our team as a faculty attending physician.

We provide inpatient palliative care, an outpatient clinic three days per week, and services for local nursing homes. Teaching and collaboration with a university-affiliated residency enhance our hands-on training in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• ABFM or AOBFP certified with board eligibility or certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
• Eligibility for PA licensure.
• Strong patient-centered care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient palliative service Mon-Fri 8-5 with phone coverage nights and weekends.
• Deliver outpatient palliative clinic services three days per week.
• Provide care for area nursing homes and participate in fellowship training.
• Collaborate with subspecialists and integrate primary care when appropriate.
