Job summary

UConn Health in Farmington, CT seeks a board-certified/board-eligible Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician to join our growing palliative care program in a 0.9 FTE clinical role blending outpatient clinic and inpatient care. You will work with an interdisciplinary team and have opportunities for education and scholarship; an academic appointment will be offered commensurate with qualifications.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of an accredited residency and Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
• Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure and federal DEA.
• Experience in palliative care in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
• Commitment to clinical care, medical education, and scholarly activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consultation and outpatient palliative care.
• Educate Internal Medicine housestaff and serve as core faculty for the HPM fellowship.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and coordinate with Hospital Medicine and local hospices.

Education

MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree

Residency completed and Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship

Board certified or board eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine

Connecticut medical licensure eligibility
