Miracle City Hospice in Broadview Heights is seeking an RN On Call to support Broadview Heights and surrounding counties. Join our compassionate team of clinicians delivering end-of-life care with a focus on comfort and dignity. We offer a generous PTO program, 401K with match, and competitive salaries.

Shifts are 7 on 7 off. The RN will triage after-hours calls, assess needs, coordinate with physicians, and document care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
• Possession of a current license to practice in the state as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of two years of varied work experience as a professional nurse.

Responsibilities

• Triage after-hours patient and family calls; determine needed services and update care plans.
• Gather data on physical, psychological, social, and spiritual factors and initiate interventions with the team.
• Coordinate care by communicating with attending physician and agencies.
• Perform clinical pronouncement of death and support families.
• Maintain accurate records with care plans and progress notes.

What You'll Do:

• Assume responsibility for triage of after-hours patient and family phone calls, determining the need for services including assessments, symptom management and care plan updates, delegating nursing visits to appropriate staff members
• Obtain data on physical, psychological, social, and spiritual factors that may impact patient and family's needs and initiate intervention by other members of the interdisciplinary team as appropriate
• Initiate communication with the attending physician, other interdisciplinary staff members and other agencies for the purpose of coordinating optimal care.
• Perform clinical pronouncement of death and provide support to family
• Maintain an accurate clinical record through the timely preparation of care plans and clinical and progress notes

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program
• Possession of a current license to practice in the state as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of two years of varied work experience as a professional nurse
• Demonstrated skill in nursing practices and clinical judgments
• Ability to cope with family emotional stress and tolerance of individual lifestyles
• Must possess current CPR Certification
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance is required
