Care Initiatives Hospice is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide end-of-life care with a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule. You will work with patients and families, including home and facility settings, to deliver comfort and support during this critical phase.

The role requires an RN with at least two years of clinical nursing experience and CPR certification, plus the ability to respond to emergencies, guide families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hospice nursing care on a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, including overnight on-call from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM.
• Support patients and families during times of greatest need and respond to emergent situations, including weekends and evenings.
• Assist with medication administration and offer education to ensure comfort, dignity, and transitions at end of life.

What you’d do as the Hospice Nurse - RN - 7D on/7D off:

• This is a full-time role that is 7 days on and 7 days off. This position takes calls from 4:30 P.M until 8:00 A.M. each night as well as taking calls through the weekend. Some scheduled visits may also be assigned.
• Support patients and families in the time of their greatest need and respond to emergent needs on weekends, evenings and overnight.
• Assist the caregivers and patients, provide meds available and offer teaching to ensure comfort for pain, breathlessness, dying/transitioning or support at the time of death with compassion, integrity, respect, and dignity in all our interactions.

What it takes to become a Hospice Nurse - RN - 7D on/7D off:

• RN with a minimum of two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Demonstrated patience and a supportive and sensitive approach to providing patient, family, and caregiver support.
