Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan seeks a Nurse Assistant to support hospice patients in the Eastern Upper Peninsula. Under RN supervision, you perform day-to-day patient care activities and help create a compassionate, safe environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, State Certified Nursing Assistant, and BLS within the first week. Valid Michigan driver’s license and driving record per policy; six months of experience preferred. This is a full-time role with day shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State Certified Nursing Assistant.
• BLS certification required within first week of hire
• Valid Michigan Driver's License, proof of valid auto insurance, and maintain a driving record in accordance with McLaren's corporate driving policy and eligibility guidelines

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.
