Job summary

UnitedHealth Group (Amedisys, part of the Optum family) is seeking a Music Therapist to join its hospice/home health interdisciplinary team in Wisconsin. You will assess patient needs and deliver music therapy to enhance emotional, psychosocial, and physical well‑being, supporting patients and families in their health journey.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy with MT-BC certification and at least 1 year of relevant experience, plus a valid driver’s license and reliable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) is required.
• 1+ year of experience in music therapy, healthcare, hospice, or related setting is required.
• 1+ year of experience with patients with chronic, serious, or end-of-life conditions is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized music therapy care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide music therapy interventions to support symptom management, emotional well-being, and quality of life.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, caregivers, and families to integrate music therapy into overall patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, patient responses, and care plan updates.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care coordination and patient outcomes.
