Ascend Hospice in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Music Therapist to join our hospice team. The role involves delivering music therapy to patients, coordinating individual and group sessions, and integrating assessment findings into personalized care plans.

• Hospice experience or working with geriatric population preferred.
• Board certification or certification within 6 months.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates knowledge of music therapy for various client populations.
• Help patients reduce pain, anxiety, and agitation.
• Instructs patients individually or in groups using music techniques.
• Communicates assessment findings in writing and verbally.
• Observes and records client responses to assessment and interventions.
• Selects and creates music therapy experiences that meet client needs.
• Develops goals for individuals and group therapy based on assessment findings.
