Moments Hospice is seeking a Music Therapist to join our compassionate team, delivering personalized music therapy interventions to alleviate symptoms and improve comfort for patients at end of life.

You will lead and support clinical staff, document sessions within 24 hours, and collaborate with caregivers to tailor care plans. A CBMT certification, driver’s license, and strong communication skills are required; a fleet car benefit is included to support mobility and patient visits.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Music Practitioner or graduate of a program focused on music as an intervention for health and wellness
• Board Certified Music Therapist (CBMT) certification required
• Musical intelligence and mastery of at least one instrument
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort providing specialized care to the terminally ill
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow safety rules and regulations (HIPAA, etc)
• Valid Driver's license required

Responsabilités

• Lead and assist patients in music therapy interventions
• Reduce symptoms like anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation through music
• Educate the clinical team on music therapy appropriateness and contraindications
• Maintain accurate records (clinical notes, charts, coordination notes) within 24 hours of sessions

• Ability to follow all safety rules and regulations (Vulnerable Adult/Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to Know)

• Educate the clinical team on music therapy appropriateness and contraindications
• Maintain accurate records (clinical notes, charts, coordination notes) within 24 hours of sessions and update as needed
