Job summary

Moments Hospice seeks a licensed Music Therapist to lead individualized music therapy interventions, helping alleviate anxiety, depression, isolation, and agitation for patients in their final days. You will collaborate with the clinical team and document notes within 24 hours of sessions, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy from an accredited program.
• Board Certified by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
• Musical intelligence with a variety of instrument experience.
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist patients in music therapy interventions
• Reduce symptoms like anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation, etc. through music
• Educate the clinical team on music therapy appropriateness and contraindications
• Maintain accurate records (clinical notes, charts, coordination notes) within 24 hours of sessions and update as needed

Qualifications:
