Job summary

NYU Langone Health in Suffolk County seeks an experienced palliative care/hospice physician to join our team as a key provider within a nationally recognized, patient-centered network.

Licensed physician, board eligible in palliative care and hospice, you will work with a diverse patient population to relieve pain and symptoms, and collaborate with the team on policy, education, and quality initiatives.

Compensation: $250,000 - $350,000; full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed physician, NY state or eligible to practice in NY.
• Board eligibility in palliative care and hospice.
• Experience in a diverse patient population and team-based care.

Responsibilities

• Certify and recertify hospice eligibility in compliance with Medicare and regulations.
• Conduct and supervise face-to-face patient visits, including home visits for complex cases.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and support regulatory reviews.
• Collaborate with hospice leadership on policy development, compliance and quality improvement.
