Job summary

Your Health is seeking a dedicated Billing and Coder to join our team in South Carolina. The role involves ensuring accurate coding and billing practices while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of coding experience in a healthcare setting.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity with sensitive information.
• Willingness to adapt to evolving coding guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes to medical procedures.
• Ensure proper documentation to support code assignments.
• Stay updated with all CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10.

Skills

Proficiency in CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding systems

Strong understanding of medical terminology

Excellent attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management

National coding certification (CPC, RHIT, CCA, CSC, or CMC)

Tools

Billing software systems

Electronic health records (preferably Athena)
