Hospice Massage Therapist - PRN (Indianapolis, IN)

Massage Therapist - PRN

What You Must Have:

• Current registration as a Massage Therapist in the State of employment
• Minimum of one year of massage therapy experience; preferably in healthcare industry
• Therapy skills as defined by generally accepted standards of practice
• Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision
• Must have a current driver's license
• Experience with EMR software is a plus
• Must have reliable transportation and provide ongoing valid and current auto liability insurance

What You Will Do:

• Provide massage therapy to patients according to written IDG plan of care
• Initiate massage therapy programs and instruct other staff and family members on these programs and goals
• Perform massage therapy procedures in consultation with patient, caregiver, and hospice IDG
• Conduct assessments, evaluations, and establish therapeutic and functional goals for clients
• Maintain clinical records, progress notes, and documentation
• Advise RN Case Manager on patient’s response to therapy or changes in condition
• Promote the agency’s philosophy and mission by presenting a positive image to customers
• Participate in mandatory staff in-services and meetings
• Maintain compliance with internal education requirements
• Ensure timely submission of documentation
• Perform all duties professionally and ethically
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies
