Hospice Massage Therapist | Part-Time | Weekdays only | Twin Cities & North Branch Territory.

The Massage Therapist position is responsible for providing massage therapy services under the direction of the Clinical Director according to the hospice patient’s unique plan of care.

Opportunity Details:

  • Schedule: Part-Time. 48 scheduled hours every 2 weeks.
  • Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $27.00 - $30.00 per hour.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients for medical indication and perform evaluations to determine therapy effectiveness.
  • Guide and assist patients through massage interventions to help alleviate symptoms such as anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation, restlessness, sleeplessness, pain, muscle tension, circulation issues, stiffness, contractures, limited mobility, relaxation, and comfort.
  • Utilize interventions like comfort touch, energy work, and compressions.
  • Maintain records such as clinical notes, charting, and coordination notes, which should be incorporated into the patient’s clinical record within 24 hours of the session and updated as needed.
  • Provide ongoing education to the clinical team regarding treatment appropriateness and contraindications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of clinical massage therapy experience
  • Current license, certification, or registration as a Massage Therapist in good standing
  • Effective communication skills in both verbal and written formats
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, including but not limited to, Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precautions, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to Know, SDS, ADA, HUD policies, and Fair Housing laws

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in home health, hospice, or senior care environments

Licenses & Certifications:

Required: Massage Therapy License or certification
