Job summary

VISITING NURSE HOME CARE & HOSPICE OF CARROLL COUNTY AND WESTERN MAINE seeks a hospice leader to oversee daily operations, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and organizational goals. The role includes supervising nursing, social work, chaplaincy, and support staff to deliver patient- and family-centered care.

The ideal candidate has MSW or RN licensure in NH/ME and 3–5 years in hospice with at least 2 years in leadership, plus budgeting and performance metrics experience.

Qualifications

  • Current MSW or RN license in NH and Maine (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of hospice or palliative care experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, reimbursement models, and clinical standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial management, and performance metrics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Support and lead interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning processes.
