Job summary

Silverado Hospice is hiring PRN LVNs to provide skilled nursing and compassionate palliative care across San Diego County. You’ll work under RN direction, manage symptoms, educate patients and families, and participate in interdisciplinary planning.

Travel to patient homes is required while maintaining documentation and adhering to palliative protocols. The role emphasizes empathy, strong communication, and flexibility with hours.

Qualifications

• Valid LVN/LPN license in the state
• Minimum 1 year of LVN/LPN experience
• Hospice experience preferred but not required
• CPR certification required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working around animals and pets
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
• May be required to work outside regular hours based on patient needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse
• Provide pain and symptom management, medical treatments, and patient education
• Support patients and families through end-of-life care with empathy and professionalism
• Participate in care planning and collaborate with the interdisciplinary Palliative team
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with Palliative protocols
• Travel to patient homes across San Diego County
