Sanford Health's Luverne Cottage Hospice in Luverne, MN is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Med Aide (MA) to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in the home-like hospice setting. The role collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to manage symptoms, comfort, and dignity for patients and families.

This full-time night-shift position offers a max 1:4 patient ratio, self-scheduling, and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for eligible applicants; requires LPN licensure, BLS, and

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
• One year of professional nursing experience preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Depending on location, a valid drivers license may be required. Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required.

Responsibilities

• The LPN participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient/resident care for stable and predictable patients/residents in the home care setting.
• Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the patient/resident in the home care setting and cares for patients/residents with appropriate age-specific needs.
