Hospice of North Alabama in Decatur, AL is seeking a compassionate Hospice LPN to join our team. You will provide hands-on end-of-life care, follow the care plan, and maintain clear patient records within a supportive team environment.

The role emphasizes patient-family education, pain management, and coordination with clinicians. We offer stable hours, a Monday–Friday schedule, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nurse or vocational nursing program.
• Three years nursing experience; hospice or medical/surgical preferred.
• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the State.
• CPR certification required.
• Own a reliable automobile with valid insurance and license.

Responsibilities

• Give hands-on care to patients nearing the end of life, following state nursing rules.
• Follow the care plan after assessing the patient’s needs.
• Keep clear and timely records of the care provided.
• Teach and support patients and their families about the illness and care plan.
• Help coordinate care by communicating with the hospice team.
• Manage pain and symptoms, checking how well treatments are working.
• Take part in training and quality improvement activities to grow professionally.
