Job summary

Gulfside Healthcare Services, Inc. seeks an RN Hospice Inpatient to provide high-quality skilled care for acute needs in the IPU. This role will lead assessment, intervention, and education to maximize comfort and quality of life for patients and families.

The RN oversees IPU staff, maintains licensure and mandatory education, and acts as a patient-family advocate while collaborating with the Clinical Care Manager - IPU on shift.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Florida as a registered nurse.
• Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Strong ethical standards and professional demeanor.
• Well-organized, self-directed, team-oriented.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Case manages IPU patients during shift.
• Perform ongoing assessment of physical, psychological, social needs.
• Oversee supervision of LPNs, CNAs, and other staff.
• Communicate patient needs and risks to care team.
• Educate patients and families about hospice care and services.
