Job summary

VITAS Healthcare is seeking a home care registered nurse to ensure hospice patients are comfortable and to build compassionate connections with families. You will guide patients through the end-of-life journey with dignity, autonomy at the bedside, and a focus on comfort.

Typically, you will visit patients at home or in facilities, averaging 4-6 visits per day, and participate in weekly interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate holistic care for patients and their loved ones.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• At least two years of nursing experience.
• Reliable transportation to patients' homes and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice nursing care to patients at home or in facilities.
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families and guide end-of-life care decisions.
• Administer medications, monitor symptoms, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in weekly team meetings to plan holistic patient care.
