The Parkland Intermittent Home Care Department delivers home visits in Farmington, Missouri, with 24-hour on-call supervision and a focus on safe, high-quality patient care in patients' homes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• No prior experience is required.
• Reliable transportation for home visits is necessary.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document findings promptly.
• Meet patient hygiene, comfort, nutrition, and hydration needs.
• Recognize and report abnormal findings to the nurse promptly.
• Provide care under supervision of the nurse or Primary Case Manager.

BJC Home Care offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. Specialty home care programs also are available, including adult and pediatric asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care programs.

The Parkland Intermittent Home Care Department of BJC Home Care Services provides home visits to patients in Farmington, Missouri and several nearby counties, with 24 hour on-call home care nursing supervision. Preferred Qualifications

The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient/resident care and assistance in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, regulations and nursing standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Obtains vital signs and other measurements as directed and documents findings promptly.
• Meets patient hygiene, comfort, nutrition, and hydration needs and documents as required.
• Recognizes and reports abnormal findings or changes in patient status to the nurse throughout entire shift.
• Implements care under the supervision of the nurse or Primary Case Manager. In Home Health, this can be done with a RN/PT/OT or Speech Pathologist.
