Job summary

Hospice of Marion County, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a caring CNA to provide compassionate physical care to patients in Marion County. You will support bathing, feeding, transfers, ROM exercises, and dressing changes on 12-hour shifts with Saturday and Sunday coverage (8am–8pm), PRN.

Responsibilities include light housekeeping, infection control, and collaboration with the care team to educate families and caregivers about disease processes and emotional support.

Qualifications

• Six months of CNA experience preferred in hospital or long-term care.
• Valid Florida CNA license and BLS CPR certification are required.
• Valid Florida driver's license may be preferred for field coverage.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical care: bathing, linens, feeding, and transfers.
• Assist with ambulation, positioning, and ROM exercises.
• Reinforce dressings and follow infection control standards.
• Perform light housekeeping in patient areas and replenish supplies.
• Educate families and caregivers on care needs and disease processes.
