Job summary

Optimal Care is seeking Hospice Aide opportunities in Mid-Michigan. You will provide compassionate, in-home care to patients, assisting with daily activities and supporting dignity and comfort during end-of-life care.

The role involves travel across Crawford, Roscommon, Ogemaw, Iosco, Arenac, Gladwin, Clare, Midland, and nearby areas, with flexible full-time, part-time, or per diem options.

Qualifications

• Completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
• Sixteen hours of classroom must be completed prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training.
• Must hold current CNA certification and be in good standing on the state nurse aide registry.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Help patients maintain quality of life while at home or in care facilities.
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to support each patient’s needs.
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families during visits.
