Gentiva is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide/CNA to provide hands-on care and emotional support in patients' homes or facility settings. You will assist with daily living activities, maintain documentation, and collaborate with the care team to deliver dignified end-of-life care.

Ideal candidates hold an active CNA license, CPR certification, and at least six months of direct patient care experience. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required to serve patients in private

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CNA license in the state of employment.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance are required.
• Six months of direct patient care experience is required.
• Comfort working in home settings, hospice facilities, or long-term care environments.
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and ability to handle emotional situations.
• Willingness to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility with walkers and wheelchairs.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation of visits.
