Job summary

Affinis Hospice in Georgia is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate personal care to patients as prescribed by the physician. The role requires adherence to nurse practice acts, federal regulations, and hospice policy to ensure comfort and dignity for patients and families.

The CNA will support patients at home and in facility settings, participate in interdisciplinary care planning, and document services in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Completion of state recognized and federally compliant training program and/or competency evaluation.
• At least six months experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provides emotional and physical support to terminally ill individuals and their families/significant others.
• Assists in improving the terminally ill individual's quality of life during the final stage of life.
• Assists with personal care activities including baths, mouth care, grooming, transferring, dressing, ambulation and positioning for comfort.
• Assists with household tasks essential to the patient's health and daily living, including meals, feeding, light housekeeping, and linen care.
