Job summary

Journey Hospice, located in Central PA and serving York, Franklin, and Adams Counties, is seeking a Full-Time CNA to support hospice patients in various settings with competitive pay and robust benefits.

You will provide personal care, light housekeeping, and participate in the IDT to ensure a compassionate, patient-centered plan of care. Requires PA CNA certification, HS diploma, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have High school diploma or GED.
• Valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) in Pennsylvania.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and light housekeeping to hospice patients.

Journey Hospice, located in Central PA and serving York, Franklin and Adams Counties is currently seeking a Full-Time CNA to work with our hospice patients. This position offers competitive pay between $20-$23/hour (based on experience) with robust benefits and paid time off!

The Hospice CNA provides personal care and light housekeeping services to terminally ill patients in the home, nursing facility, inpatient units or other environments where the Hospice patient resides in accordance with an established plan of care and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Actively participates as a member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Provides care and comfort to patients in accordance with assigned tasks and established interdisciplinary and Hospice Aide plan of care. Observes the patient, reports and documents observations and care performed. Provides timely documentation of services based on the patient’s care plan

Basic Qualifications:

Education/Training/Certifications:

Must have High school diploma or GED. Valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) in Pennsylvania.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation that is insured in accordance with PA requirements.

Skill(s):

Must maintain a professional attitude and demeanor and is be able to communicate effectively and relate courteously and cooperatively with patients, caregivers, colleagues, supervisors, co-workers and all others.

Must be able to demonstrate optimism, enthusiasm and willingness to work constructively with other health care team members and reflect concern for the well-being of patients and employees.

Interact with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion supporting the mission and vision of the organization.

Experience:

Minimum age requirement of eighteen (18).

One (1) year of direct patient care experience in an institutional or home care setting required with community health/hospice experience preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to be able to work within a multidisciplinary team setting. Understanding of Hospice philosophy and needs of terminally ill.
