Job summary

Idaho Home Health and Hospice of Treasure Valley, part of the LHC Group and Optum family, seeks a Clinical Director to oversee clinical operations and regulatory compliance for hospice services.

The role directs day-to-day care, ensures qualified staff, and partners with physicians to maintain high-quality patient outcomes. Required: current RN license in-state, CPR, and a valid driver's license; salary ranges from $71,136 to $106,704 annually with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Current Driver's License and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• 3+ years of experience in a hospice, home health, or other health care service delivery system setting.
• 2+ years of healthcare leadership.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with hospice regulations, laws, policies and procedures including Medicare/Medicaid.
• Employ only qualified hospice personnel.
• Present on-site during business hours or available after hours.
• Direct day-to-day clinical operations including training and orientation.
• Oversee patient care activities to ensure quality standards.
• Promote hospice education to referral sources and community.
• Work with hospice physicians to drive clinical excellence for end-of-life care.
• Ensure care is provided according to the plan of care and physician orders.
• Provide clinical oversight according to licensure and state guidelines.
• May participate in Governing Body meetings and committees.
• Act as liaison between staff, patients, families and management.
• Oversee hospice billing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure adequate staffing through recruitment and retention.
• Complete staff evaluations in a timely manner.
• Identify education needs and ensure staff competency.
• Review monthly financials and cost reports to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Assist with quality improvement programs and action plans.
• Maintain staff personnel files according to guidelines and accreditation standards.
• Complete required courses and attend in-services as applicable.
• Functions as a preceptor to new hires as needed.
• Investigate patient complaints and safety concerns.
