Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England At Home – Connecticut is seeking a Hospice Chaplain in Hartford, CT to provide spiritual care across our local ministry, supporting patients, families and colleagues during some of life’s most significant moments.

You will address spiritual distress, offer grief support, provide crisis intervention, and walk with individuals navigating profound life changes as an integrated member of our healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in theology, Religion, Spiritual Care or Spirituality is required or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of Spiritual Care experience; chaplaincy or spiritual care ministry preferred.
• BCC strongly preferred; certification process via approved boards with ACPE education completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care across the local ministry, supporting patients, participants, residents, families, and colleagues during significant moments.
• Address spiritual distress, offer grief support, provide crisis intervention, and walk with individuals navigating profound life changes.
• Collaborate as an integrated member of the healthcare team to support holistic care.

Education

Master's degree in theology, Religion, Spiritual Care or Spirituality, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) strongly preferred via APC/CASC/NACC/NAJC with 4 ACPE units (1600 hours) and faith-based endorsement
