Job summary

St. Croix Hospice seeks a Chaplain to guide patients and families through the end‑of‑life journey, providing emotional, practical and spiritual guidance within the patient care team.

The role involves coordinating with clinical staff and community resources, and may include bereavement program duties. The chaplain will conduct spiritual assessments, develop care plans, and participate in quality and compliance activities, ensuring HIPAA confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated theological coursework required.
• If no degree, five or more years of experience in a formal ministerial setting required.
• Ability to pass background, consumer report and drug test.
• Valid state driver’s license; access to an automobile in good working order; valid insurance; acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct spiritual support to patients and families.
• Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and provide spiritual care consultation.
• Coordinate with community chaplains and spiritual counselors.
• Recruit and educate community chaplains, counselors, and volunteers.
• Oversee bereavement program and follow‑up care.
