Job summary

Bluegrass Care Navigators seeks a Hospice Chaplain to provide compassionate spiritual care for patients and families in home, nursing home, or facility settings. You will perform spiritual assessments and counseling within hospice philosophy, coordinating with community resources as needed.

The role requires ordination or eligible certification, a Master of Divinity or equivalent, and completion of two CPE units.

Qualifications

Graduate degree in theology or divinity; licensure/ordination is required.
Master of Divinity or equivalent meets eligibility for chaplaincy certification.
Two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) completed.
Knowledge of death, dying, and bereavement.
Understanding of diverse faith traditions and cultural backgrounds.
Experience working with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Strong public speaking and community organization abilities.
Driver with insured vehicle and valid license.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate spiritual care to patients, families, and caregivers.
Conduct spiritual assessments, counseling, and guidance per hospice philosophy.
Coordinate with community spiritual resources and other professionals as needed.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support holistic patient care.
