Brighton/Suncrest Hospice seeks a Chaplain to provide spiritual support to patients and families while respecting diverse faiths. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to assess needs, arrange timely services, and support clergy and family rituals.

The position requires formal theology training with CPE and offers opportunities to lead services, supervise volunteers, and participate in quality improvement inside a growing national hospice network.

Qualifications

• Seminary or theology degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
• One year chaplain experience preferred.
• Experience with death and dying and supporting patients and families.
• Able to work as a contributing member of an interdisciplinary team.
• Comfort level in inter-faith setting.
• Minimum of 3 units of CPE; MDiv or Masters in Theology required.

Responsabilités

• Assess spiritual needs of patients and families and coordinate timely services.
• Serve as liaison to community chaplains and spiritual counselors.
• Maintain records of spiritual care services for quality assurance and program development.
• Attend patient care conferences and provide education and support to teams.
• Provide funeral or memorial services when requested.
• Assist with supervising spiritual care volunteers as needed.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Must be willing to drive with reliable transportation and valid license.
