Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a chaplain to provide spiritual care to hospice patients, families and caregivers, in home or facility settings, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.

The role requires Master’s degree, ordination or commission, and CPE; you will perform memorial services and participate in on-call coverage as needed.

The position emphasizes ecumenical care, strong communication, and computer/EHR proficiency within a compassionate interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field is required.
• Ordination or commission by a recognized faith group.
• At least one unit of clinical pastoral education.

Responsibilities

• Provides spiritual assessment and counseling to patients and families at home or in care settings.
• Participates in the interdisciplinary care plan and team meetings.
• Facilitates linkage to community clergy and supports learning for staff and volunteers.
• Coordinates spiritual care and maintains records for QA and program development.
• Performs memorial and funeral services as requested.
• Participates in on-call coverage including weekends and holidays.
