Medi Home Hospice in Greensburg, PA is seeking a Hospice Chaplain to provide compassionate spiritual and emotional support to patients and families facing end-of-life challenges, within home-based care. The role collaborates with staff, clergy, and the community to ensure holistic, respectful care.

The position requires CPE, seminary or theology training, and a driver’s license. Part-time/PRN with optional after-hours coverage; benefits include PTO, insurance, life and retirement plans, and

Qualifications

• At least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is required.
• Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology or certified in hospital/pastoral ministry is preferred.
• Experience as a hospital or hospice chaplain is preferred.
• Flexible, inclusive, and ecumenical approach to spiritual care.
• Experience with patients and families facing terminal illness and grief.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct spiritual care to patients and families in their homes.
• Participate in IDT meetings to assess spiritual needs.
• Offer grief support and bereavement follow-up per procedures.
• Coordinate with local clergy and faith leaders per patient preferences.
• Build a network of clergy to support patient care.
• Ensure after-hours chaplain availability (minimal).
• Attend biweekly IDT meetings and contribute to care planning.
