Job summary

Mission Healthcare in Ventura County, CA, seeks a full‑time Chaplain/Spiritual Care Provider to deliver compassionate spiritual support to hospice patients and families. You will conduct visits, offer prayer and counseling, and develop personalized care plans within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include memorial services, grief support, and respecting diverse beliefs. A Master of Divinity and ordination are required, with driving to patient sites and a commitment to inclusive,

Qualifications

  • Master of Divinity or equivalent theological degree from an accredited institution.
  • Ordination or endorsement from a recognized religious body.
  • Previous hospice, hospital, or pastoral care experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse religious, cultural, and spiritual backgrounds.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Collaborate with social workers, nurses, physicians, and other care team members.
  • Provide bereavement support to families post-death, including follow-up calls and visits.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of spiritual care interactions and outcomes.

Pay range (depending on experience): $35.00-$38.00 hourly

Schedule/Shift: Full Time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Territory/Location: Ventura County,CA

  • Maintain accurate documentation of spiritual care interactions and outcomes.
