Responsibilities of a Hospice Aide/CNA include:

  • Reporting to the Administrator, Director, or Patient Care Manager, under RN supervision
  • Assisting with personal hygiene and maintaining a safe environment
  • Preparing and assisting with meals and feeding
  • Supporting patient mobility and safe use of assistive devices
  • Performing light housekeeping and certain treatments as ordered
  • Promoting mental alertness and providing emotional support
  • Reporting changes in patient condition and documenting care accurately
  • Participating in staff meetings and quality improvement activities

Candidate Requirements:

  • Compassionate, empathetic, and flexible
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
  • Six months of relevant patient care experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and CPR certification
