Responsibilities of a Hospice Aide/CNA

• Report to the Administrator or Patient Care Manager and work under RN supervision
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, meals, ambulation, and light housekeeping
• Support treatment as ordered and promote mental engagement
• Provide emotional support and report changes to the team
• Practice infection control and document visits accurately
• Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement activities

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Compassionate, empathetic, and flexible
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
• Six months of patient care experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and CPR certification
