Responsibilities of a Hospice Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant:
  • Report directly to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager and function under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor.
  • Assist patients with personal hygiene, ambulation, and light housekeeping.
  • Assist with light meals and feeding as needed.
  • Support patient safety and comfort, including use of mobility aids.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support, promote mental alertness, and report changes in patient condition.
  • Practice infection control and document visits accurately.
  • Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement activities.
Requirements:
  • Compassionate, kind, and empathetic nature.
  • Comfortable providing care in a home setting.
  • Flexibility and composure in crisis situations.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
  • Six months of relevant patient care experience preferred.
  • Current driver’s license, automobile insurance, and CPR certification.
