Responsibilities of a Hospice Aide / CNA
- Report to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager, under supervision of RN or Clinical Supervisor
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and light housekeeping
- Support patient safety and comfort, promote mental alertness, and provide emotional support
- Document visits accurately and participate in quality improvement activities
- Practice infection control and standard precautions
Candidate Requirements
- Compassionate, kind, and empathetic nature
- Comfortable providing care in a patient's home
- Flexibility and composure in crisis situations
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
- Six months of patient care experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and insurance, CPR certification
