  • Responsibilities of Hospice Aide / CNA
    • Report directly to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager and function under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor.
    • Help the patient maintain good personal hygiene.
    • Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
    • Prepare and serve light meals.
    • Assist in feeding the patient when needed.
    • Assist the patient in ambulation and with the safe use of a walker or wheelchair as taught.
    • Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as trash and linens.
    • Assist with treatments as ordered and permitted by state regulations.
    • Promote patient's mental alertness through engagement in activities.
    • Provide emotional and psychological support.
    • Report changes in patient condition or home situation to the RN and team.
    • Practice infection control and document visits accurately.
    • Attend staff meetings and participate in quality improvement activities.
    Qualifications - About You
    • Compassionate, kind, and empathetic to patients and families.
    • Comfortable providing care in patients' homes.
    • Flexible and composed in crisis situations.
    • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
    • Six months of patient care experience preferred.
    • Additional experience in hospital or emergency settings is a plus.
    • Valid driver’s license and insurance.
    • Current CPR certification.
